Since school, I've been...
I worked at the General Hosp. in Elizabeth after graduating. Then I got married and had two children, a son and a daughter. The marriage went bad and 7 yrs. later I was divorced. I met a boy Ken) I had dated when I was a teenager. He had gone through a bad marriage, too. Long story short, we were married a couple of years later. We had a daughter together and we've now been married for 30 years. We own a home in Hillside and I am now teaching 4th grade in a private school. |
My family:
My oldest daughter lives down the Jersey shore with her husband and my two grandchildren, a boy and a girl. My son is a bachelor and has his own apartment. Our youngest daughter still lives at home with my husband and me. I have a brother who lives in upstate New York. My mom and dad are deceased. |
Life experiences:
The greatest thing that ever happened in my life was when I became a born again Christian in 1977. To know my sins have been forgiven and that when I die, I'll be in heaven with the Lord and loved ones...it's hard to beat that! The next greatest experiences would have to be the births of my children. Also the nearly miraculous way my husband and I acquired our house in 1979. We didn't have much money at the time and needed only $300 down. It was truly a miracle and too long a story to tell here. |
My favorite things in school:
I enjoyed the child-care classes. It is probably why I have been involved with caring for and teaching young children ever since. |
My favorite things now:
I love vacationing and traveling with my husband. I also love visiting my grandchildren and spending time with them. I enjoy going to movies and dining out with my husband. I also try to stay involved in my church. |
My favorite books, movies and music:
Movies....The Notebook, The Sixth Sense, The Perfect Storm, The Green Mile. Music...Abba, Four Seasons, Church choruses and contemporary Christian music. Book....the Bible! |
